Henry’s Dog Walking is run by Barrie Harper Cole — looking after dogs across Selby and the villages since 2019. You’ll deal with the same person every time: no rotating staff, no franchise script.
Barrie has had dogs of his own since he was a child and has a lifelong passion for four-legged friends. That love of animals is at the heart of how he works — patient, practical and genuinely fond of the pets in his care.

Fully trained for the job, with a Canine First Aid Diploma from the Centre of Excellence (awarded with distinction), public liability insurance and an enhanced DBS check — so your dog is in safe, professional hands. Every dog is treated as an individual: energy levels, recall and favourite routes all go in the notes.
He can also do drop-in home visits for cats and other pets — feeding, fresh water, litter or cage care, and a little company while you’re away. Rates are quoted when you message (length of visit and number of pets). Happy to talk through pet visits or a free meet-and-greet for walks.

How do I book?
Get in touch for a free meet-and-greet at home. You’ll agree days, times and walk length, then walks start with the same walker every time.
How much does a walk cost?
£14 for 1 hour, £11 for 30 minutes, £14 for two dogs (30 mins), £18 for two dogs (1 hour), and £22 for split morning and afternoon (two walks in one day). Nearby villages usually close to Selby rates — confirmed when you message.
Which villages do you cover?
Selby town plus Brayton, Barlby, Osgodby, Thorpe Willoughby, Hemingbrough, Cliffe and nearby villages on request.
Do you walk at weekends?
Yes — seven days a week, including weekends, subject to availability.
What about keys?
Keys are coded, stored securely, and only used for your agreed walks. We’ll walk through the process at the free meet-and-greet.
Bad weather?
Walks go ahead in normal rain. In extreme weather Barrie will message you to reschedule or adjust the route.
Cancellations?
No lock-in contracts. Please give 48 hours’ notice where you can so the slot can be offered to another dog.
